We have a fantastic leadership team at Bewdley Baptist Church who, together, are responsible for the oversight of a wide range of practical, pastoral and spiritual issues within the church. You can read a little bit about them below.
Simon is the Senior Minister at Bewdley Baptist and has been a minister at the church since 2008. Simon trained for Baptist Ministry at Regent’s Park College, Oxford, whilst working with the leadership at St. Peter’s Baptist Church, Worcester. He has a wide range of ministry and mission experiences, including spending 5 years in Nepal as a missionary with BMS World Mission. He completed an MA in Aspects and Implications of Biblical Interpretation from the London School of Theology in 2017 and is currently studying at Winchester on the DTh programme exploring intergenerational church. Simon is married to Kate, and they have two children together. When he isn’t working, he loves watching rugby and cycling.

Denise grew up in Wiltshire, trained in Scotland and came to the West Midlands for 6 months 20 years ago! She is currently the Minister-in-Training at Bewdley Baptist. She is studying at Bristol Baptist College as part of the BUGB ministerial training scheme and hopes to achieve an MA in Theology Mission and Ministry. After more than 20 years in the NHS she is excited about following God’s call to serve him as a Minister in Training at Bewdley Baptist Church. She is married to Donald and they have 3 children (who have fond memories of the Safari Park, Bewdley Museum and Severn Valley Railway).
She enjoys walking, singing, the theatre and visiting coffee shops and she knows that the vibrant community life of Bewdley has plenty of opportunities for all of these. She is looking forward to meeting new people, working together and trusting God in this new adventure of faith.
You can contact Denise either in the Church Office on 01299 403267 or via email at email@example.com
Our elders assist in the pastoral care life of the church.
Our deacons are generally responsible for practical areas of church life, such as worship, mission and children’s and youth work.
